Are you lonely and single? A dinner party may be the answer!

OK being the first blog for LifeTime, I’m pleased to announce that last week we started the first phase of LifeTime Private Retreat’s conservation project on Kangaroo Island to assist the endangered Gloss Black cockatoo. Thanks to assistance from mates Mike and Peggy from Pelican Lagoon Research Centre and Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) we had nine enthusiastic tree planters from around the globe to help us plant 300 trees. LifeTime provided its luxury accommodation villas for one night, which concluded with a celebration feast at the Hannaford’s family historic shearing shed. Ok, it was only 300 trees, but a small start is better than none at all!

So anyone interested in checking out our great island, has a love for food and conservation (interesting mix I know!) should follow this blog to have a chance to come along for the next one.

I will also update you regularly with local kangaroo Island news, special accommodation deals and interesting food stories as well.

Cheers Nick Hannaford
